Why I write this.

This is not an official website of the City of Sammamish. This Substack is where I share updates on what’s happening at City Hall, ideas I’m considering bringing forward, and explanations of how and why I make certain decisions.

You’ll see a mix of:

• Explanations of council decisions and votes

• Early thinking on ideas I’m exploring

• Updates on issues that affect day-to-day life in Sammamish

• Context on how decisions connect to the budget, infrastructure, and public services

Everything here reflects my perspective and opinions as a councilmember. It does not represent an official position of the city, city staff or consultants, or the full council.

This won’t be a place for hot takes or political drama. It’s meant to be practical, straightforward, and demonstrate how I’m aiming to make sure local government is working for you.
