Coffee with Mayor Josh
Every Friday, I hold open office hours at the Pine Lake Starbucks (3016 Issaquah-Pine Lake Rd SE). Come talk. No agenda required.
If you have an idea, a concern, or a question about what’s happening at city hall, this is a good place to bring it. I’ll do my best to tell you where things stand and make sure your input reaches the right place.
How to schedule
You can book a time in advance or just drop in. If I’m not in a meeting with someone when you arrive, I’m happy to talk. Each appointment is 30 minutes.
A note on what I can and can’t do
Sammamish uses a council-manager form of government. That means the Mayor doesn’t run city operations, direct staff, or act unilaterally. I have the same vote on policy and budget decisions as every other councilmember — no more.
What I can do: listen to your concern, share what I know about where things stand, bring your input into council discussions, and make sure it reaches the people who have the authority to act on it.

Coffee with the Council
This is separate from the city's Coffee with the Council program, which brings together three rotating councilmembers the first Saturday of every month at Metropolitan Market. This is my individual office hours, every Friday.
